Nueva Vizcaya is one of the provinces of the Cagayan Valley or Region 02 with 15 municipalities. It is considered the gateway to the beautiful and productive valley of the Northern Philippines. It is bounded on the north by Ifugao; on the northeast is Isabela, on the east by Quirino, on the west by Benguet and on the south by Nueva Ecija. Its capital town is Bayombong where the Schools Division Office is situated while Solano is the commercial center of the province. The town is 265 kilometers away from Manila. The province has one Congressional District. Currently, basic education is under the Schools Division of Nueva Vizcaya, one of the nine (9) divisions of the DepEd Regional Office 02. There are 23 districts covering the 47 public secondary schools and 333 elementary public schools under one Schools Division Superintendent and one Assistant.
